Régine-Mihal Friedman has taught in the Department of Cinema and Television at Tel-Aviv University. She has written extensively on the testimonial films of the second and third generation of the Shoah, on Israeli cinema, on art in film, on the representation of women and of the Jew on the screen. Her PhD. thesis on the image of the Jew in Nazi cinema, published as L’Image et son Juif (1984), is still considered as a reference in the academic community.
