Florian Ebner

Florian Ebner studied Photography at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles and History of Art, History and Romance Studies at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. From 2000 to 2007 he taught Photography at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig. Following this he worked as Assistant Curator for the exhibition project Street & Studio at the Tate Modern London and Museum Folkwang in Essen. From 2008 to 2009 he was acting Head of the Photographic Collection of Berlinische Galerie. After three years as Director of the Museum of Photography Braunschweig, Florian Ebner is taking over as Director of the Photographic Collection at Museum Folkwang in November 2012. He has published many books on modern and contemporary photography. Florian Ebner lives and works in Essen and Braunschweig.
